Understanding where your money is actually coming from is a major consideration if you want   to succeed and get paid handsomely for your efforts. Google runs a program for advertisers   which is a pay per click model. Advertisers get to run ads on Google and bid on keywords of   their choice. When someone using their search engine types in that keyword, the advertisers   ad is displayed alongside the organic search engine listings. If the searcher clicks on the   ad, Google charges the advertiser for sending traffic to the landing page on their site. The   advertiser works out their return on investment and bids accordingly to make a profit.
